Thermal Inspection
Thermal imaging shows what visible light can’t: moisture trapped under roofing, failing solar cells, overheating electrical connections, and heat escaping a building. Our thermal work is planned and interpreted by a Level I certified thermographer.
Overview
Good thermal data depends on conditions as much as on the camera. We schedule flights around sun loading, time of day, wind, and surface emissivity so the patterns in the imagery mean what they appear to mean. Every anomaly comes with a matching visual photo and a clear reference to where it is, so your team can find it on the ground.
Deliverables
What you receive
Radiometric thermal images
Every image carries per-pixel temperature data that can be re-analyzed later.
Formats: R-JPEGTIFF
Paired visual images
A standard photo of each finding, captured alongside the thermal image.
Formats: JPG
Overview images
Wide thermal and visual shots of the whole roof, array, or building for context.
Formats: R-JPEGJPG
Findings report
Each anomaly photographed, referenced to a roof section, array row, or equipment tag, and described with temperature differences and a priority level.
Formats: PDF
Formats can be adjusted to match your software. Tell us what your team uses when you request a quote.
Good to know
What a thermal report is, and isn’t
Our reports identify and document thermal anomalies for follow-up. Diagnosis, repair scope, and engineering decisions belong with your roofing contractor, electrician, or engineer, and we’re glad to walk them through the findings.
Timing matters
Roof moisture surveys are usually flown in the evening after a clear, sunny day. Solar inspections need strong, steady sunlight. We recommend a flight window when we scope the job.
